New Furniture Made With Antique Woods
David D. Parker is using his experience and resources to produce new furniture made with antique woods. Parker is very enthusiastic about the furniture that is being created. Parker has hired two men who will be creating, new furniture made with antique woods.
The two men Parker hired are third generation woodworkers living in Brattleboro, Vermont. One of the two men is from Kenya where he first learned of the woodworking technique from his father and grandfather. The second man Parker hired is originally from Pennsylvania where he acquired his knowledge of working with wood from both his father and grandfather. These three men are excited about fulfilling their destiny and dream of making, new furniture made with antique wood.
These men will be working with a variety of wood, that range from 250 year old pine to slabs of four-feet wide maple and cherry. Parker has accumulated the largest inventory of unusual native woods, from the old to the new. He has approximately thirty thousand board feet of two hundred year old pine, spruce, hemlock, chestnut, oak, maple, beach, etc. Along with acquiring the old wood, Parker has purchased 25,000 board feet of new wood over the past twenty-five years, ranging from four-foot wide slabs of maple and cherry to two-foot wide slabs of clear pine. He also has spalted maple, tiger maple, birdseye maple, butternut, black walnut, etc.
These men will use their generations of experience to create what they feel to be beautiful, quality furniture and household accessories. Not only will they create what they believe to be beautiful furniture, but also what you believe to be quality, beautiful furniture and accessories. These men are able to create a room full of furniture or create a piece of furniture to match the furniture that is already present, meaning that they will make, new furniture made with antique woods. They are going to make, but not limit themselves to making, libraries, kitchens, cabinets, bookshelves, tables, chairs, etc., each creation will be unique. This is a work of history, sincerity, honesty, present day and love combined into one.
